Madiba believed in the spirit of Ubuntu, meaning “I am because we are.” Ubuntu teaches us that we are all connected, and when we care for others, support one another, and treat people with kindness and respect, we help build a stronger world.

This book connects Madiba’s values to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are 17 goals that countries around the world created to make life better for everyone by protecting our planet, improving health and education, reducing poverty, promoting peace, and making sure no one is left behind.
